Thank you to all those who joined us for the 12th Annual Spooktacular 5K last month. Congratulations to all the costume contest winners – a scary good time was had by all!
The City will honor our local veteran community with our annual Veterans Day ceremony at Central Park on Thursday, November 11. Enjoy music by the 1st Marine Division Band, a flag salute from Whittier Boy & Girl Scout troops, and more during the outdoor picnic tribute.
The Whittier Public Library staff will host its popular Outdoor Storytime this month, as well as a virtual program on understanding the meaning of your dreams with guest speaker Anna-Karin Bjorklund, M.A. Our senior residents will have much to look forward to in November with the annual Harvest Feast at Parnell Park, a secret field trip getaway, and a variety of recreation classes to enjoy available at www.WhittierRec.com.
We look forward to celebrating the upcoming holiday season with you and your families. Mark your calendar for the Grand Illumination Tree Lighting at Ricks Burgers on Friday, December 3, the Holiday Sonata on Saturday, December 4, and the annual Christmas Parade on Saturday, December 11 in Uptown!
