I am pleased to announce I received a confirmation date for our 2019 annual meeting, once again planned at Whittier Area Community Church at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday, April 4 with dinner being served complements of your Association.
As always the famous In-N-Out truck will be there to give you and your family dinner. The meal is being offered to our members as a thank-you for your membership. Our program will begin at 7 p.m. sharp and we have City Manager Jeff Collier to bring our residents up to date on new events and new developments with a general updating of what’s going on around Whittier and Friendly Hills.
Police Kaptain Aviv Bar and Police Chief Jeff Piper will update us on our local Police activities that is going on.
Finally, back by popular demand, will be Dave Bartlett, Vice President of land procurement for Brookfield Residential. Brookfield, as you know, purchased the 74 acres previously known as the Fred C. Nelles Youth Correctional Facility. They’re bringing in a number of new restaurants and shopping opportunities as well 750 residential units. This is the largest project Whittier has ever seen and it deserves an update so all of you are aware. I look forward to seeing you all on April 4
